Assertiveness Stage 1

Date and Time: December 2009 - Course Full.

Venue: BAND Office, The Proving House, Sevier Street, St Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9LB.

This course will introduce issues around assertiveness, such as giving and receiving criticism and compliments and examining issues of respect and rights. It will support participants in dealing with challenging behaviour and promoting positive behaviour. The course is highly participatory and works with participants' own issues, problems & experiences. Come prepared to share and support others in an empowering and practical session.

Tutor: Doreen Baidoo. Doreen has over twenty years experience as a freelance consultant and trainer, working with children, young people and adults in various settings, covering a range of subjects.

Cost: Free to all Bristol-based childcare workers, however a £10 deposit per person (refundable on the day) is required to secure a place; £50 to all others.
