CACHE Level 2 in Playwork

Venue: BAND Office, The Proving House, Sevier Street, St Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9LB.

This qualification is aimed at Playworkers and Volunteers, aged at least 16 years old, who are working in a play environment with children aged 4 - 16 years. The course will include:

• The play process
• Supporting children and young people's play
• Teamwork and communication
• Supporting relationships in the play environment
• Equalities
• Health and Safety
• Safeguarding children
• Reflective practice
• Play environment and resources.

CACHE Level 2 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Play work is a nationally recognised qualification endorsed by Skills Active, the Sector Skills Council for Playwork and is recognised by OfSTED.

Completion of the full diploma requires learners to complete 12 mandatory units (45 credits, plus 2 additional optional units with a minimum total of 16 credits). This will be achieved by attendance at taught sessions, completion of assignments for a portfolio of evidence, reflective practice and 3 work based observations by the tutors.
