Dealing with Racist Behaviour in Play Settings

Date and Time: Monday 20th September, 9.30am - 2.30pm.

Venue: BAND Office, The Proving House, Sevier Street, St Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9LB.

This course aims to:

Enable participants to recognise the impact of racial harrassment and racist abuse
Look at dealing with incidents in Out of School Clubs, as well as the wider issues of approaches to anti-racism
Give participants the impetus and confidence to begin to develop practical ideas around anti-racist play in their play settings.

Tutor: SARI (Support Against Racist Incidents).

Cost: Free to all Bristol-based childcare workers, however a £10 deposit per person (refundable on the day) is required to secure a place; £20 to all others.
