Playworker Vacancies (Easter, Summer & Christmas School Holiday Periods). The UH Bristol Childcare & Benefits team seek qualified Playworkers ( minimum level 2) with a passion and commitment in delivering high quality, child-centered provision to 4-11 year olds. The service delivers inclusive play opportunities and experiences to children of NHS staff and local community between 7.45am - 6.00pm, except Bank Holidays. HOTSPOTS After School Club seeking Level 3 Playworker for 16 hours per week. HOTSPOTS After School Club is a small club based in Hotwells Primary School. We are looking to recruit a Playworker with additional responsibilities. It will provide an ideal opportunity for you to make your mark in an after school club. We are looking for someone who is committed to play work, who is keen, enthusiastic, enterprising, kind, caring and supportive - if you have these skills and more to offer please apply. You will be required to work at the scheme from 3.15pm until 6.15pm Monday to Friday plus an additional hour per week preparation/planning time. These hours are during school term time. There will also be the opportunity for you to work some full days at the holiday play scheme should you so wish. The pay will be £7.50 per hour. Your role will be to support the Manager to ensure the club provides a range of creative play opportunities for children between the ages of 4 and 11. The Girafter School Club in Clifton requires a Deputy Playleader. 16.5 hours + 1 hour admin a week over 5 days a week (term time) for breakfast club and after school club. Holiday Club hours are negotiable. Pay £8.00 per hour. The deputy must hold a level 3 diploma in playwork or early years and will ideally have experience managing or planning for a playscheme and implementing policies and procedures. Imayla are embarking on the 'Wildly Different' Programme with 3 year funding from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities fund and are looking for an Office and Finance Administrator based at Hamilton House, Stokes Croft, Bristol. Hillfields Youth Centre require two crèche workers:   CRECHE LEADER (Term time only). £8 per hour for 7 hours per week. We are looking for a candidate who has relevant child care experience/qualifications. NVQ level 3 or 4. A willingness to undertake training to this level will also be considered. (The post is currently funded by Community Fund until November 2017).   CRECHE Worker (Term time only). £7:25 per hour for 6 hours per week. LUNCHTIME / CHILDCARE HELPERS WANTED (Mon - Fri, year round). Set in beautiful private grounds, just off Durdham Downs in Redland , Torwood Lodge Nursery is a private day nursery catering for children from birth to 5 years. Totterdown Children's Community Workshop are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced part-time Deputy Play Leader to join our playscheme team in South Bristol. You will need to hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in childcare (recognised by Ofsted) and have prior experience of working with 4 to 11 year olds. Salary: £8.10 per hour. 18 hours per week, 2pm-6pm, Monday-Tuesday, 2.45pm-6pm Wednesday to Friday (term time). Holidays Club and Inset Days: 18 hours at days/times agreed with the Play Leader. Our lively and exciting afterschool clubs and playschemes in Lawrence Weston and Shirehampton, for children aged 4-11 year olds, run every day from 3-6pm, Monday to Friday during term times and 8:30-5:30pm Monday to Friday in holiday times. Due to a restructure we are currently recruiting for the following vacancies: Casual Playworkers. All jobs are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced CRB. School Meals Supervisory Assistants (SMSAs) required as soon as possible. Grade BG2 £6.38 per hour Term Time Only. Would you like to spend an hour a day doing a worthwhile and rewarding job? You will either be in the school hall helping to make sure the children eat a proper lunch, and that the meal time remains orderly and calm, or you will be outside supervising children's play in the playground. Henry's After-School Playscheme are looking for Supply Playworkers. The playworker is a member of the team providing direct care and supervision to the children attending the club. They share the responsibilities of H and S, child protection etc reporting to the playleader or deputy playleader. The majority of the time the playworkers role is one of direct child care and play either in formal group activities which they may lead or in the more informal child led play activities. Our staff work from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm and some currently work 5 days a week although most of them are not available all days of the week. Formal qualifications or the willingness to work towards them are required for playworkers. All of our staff work within a small team and need to be co-operative and communicative within that environment. The above roles are to cover holidays, sickness and other absences on an "as and when" basis. Hourly rates will depend on level of qualification. Corporate Volunteering
We are Employee Volunteering, a not for profit organisation. We work with business groups wanting to volunteer within the community on specific projects. After sourcing a project, we carry out detailed planning and preparation, risk assessments, provide comprehensive joining instructions for each member, are there to provide support and assistance on the day, and carry out a comprehensive evaluation with the employees and the charity at the end of the project. Ashley Down After School Club We need more volunteers! Before the club was struggling to have a good number of children and just be able to survive with grants. Now we have to increase the numbers at the club to forty (last year 30 children) and probably next year up to 48 and has been since September fully booked the most of the days of the week and also we had a long waiting list for the after school, and dealing with an average of 25 children during the play schemes. We need more people volunteering, dynamic, energetic and with a lot of interest in working with children. They will gain experience of working with primary aged children in a play setting and developing skills of communicating with children and their parents.
