Date and Time: 9.30am - 1pm on Mondays 22nd February, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th March 2010 - Places available - book now.
Venue: BAND Office, The Proving House, Sevier Street, St Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9LB.
This course enables participants to revise signing skills, stages 1-4, as well as learn additional stages 5-8.
NB. In order to attend, participants should have certificates from either MVDP Carers Workshop 2, Educators Workshop 4 or Makaton Foundation Course. They are required to attend and complete all six sessions to obtain the Enhancement certificate.
Tutor: Thomas Howard. Tom Howard is a Makaton regional tutor. He has worked directly with parents, teachers, childminders, LSAs, Speech and Lanaguage Therapists and other allied health professionals in a variety of settings, including mainstream and special schools, nurseries and pre-schools, residential care units and a Sure Start local programme.
Cost: Free to all Bristol-based childcare workers, however a £10 deposit per person (refundable on the day) is required to secure a place; £80 to all others.
