BAND Playwork Foundation Course (Level 2)

Venue: BAND Office, The Proving House, Sevier Street, St Werburghs, Bristol, BS2 9LB.
This course is aimed at Playworkers and Volunteers with some experience of working with children aged 5 to 15. The course will cover:
- Role of the Playworker
- The Play Process
- Teamwork and Communication
- Behaviour and Boundaries
- Equalities
- Health and Safety
- Safeguarding Children
- Reflective Practice
- Play Environment and Resources
- Games
The BAND Playwork Foundation Course is a Level 2 training course certified by BAND, endorsed by Skills Active, the Sector Skills Council for Playwork and is recognised by OfSTED. It provides underpinning knowledge for those working towards NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Playwork.
Completion of the course is based on 80% attendance, completion of assignments, reflective diaries and portfolio building. Learning support can be arranged if required - please contact the Training Department in confidence.

Cost: £350. Funding may be available to Bristol based childcare workers from Ofsted registered settings. Full details will be sent on receipt of a booking form together with a £10 deposit per person booking onto the course - please contact the BAND Training Department for further details. £350 to all others.
